The film: AMOUR, Palme d’Or at Cannes in 2012, released in theaters October 24, 2012. A drama by Austrian director and screenwriter Michael Haneke, with Jean-Louis Trintignant, Emmanuelle Riva and Isabelle Huppert. Summary: Georges and Anne are in their eighties, are highly educated, retired music teachers. Their daughter, also a musician, lives abroad with her family. One day, Anne is in an accident.  The love between this couple is put to the test.

This activity is open to all members who want to improve their French pronunciation and to discover French literary classics and their authors. The work to be studied is Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rostand. Bring your book or a copy. Pascale can provide a copy for $5.00

French chef Christian Viollaz has been invited by Lugano Swiss Bistro restaurant and André, its owner, to be a guest chef on February 22 at the Barnyard in Carmel. Christian will offer a 4-course menu, each course paired with a wine as a prix fixe menu for $59.00.
