Tribute to Eric Satie

Melinda Coffey Armstead, piano
Pascale Richards-Deliens, lecture

For the first part, Pascale will evoke the life and work of Eric Satie, French composer, eccentric, unclassifiable, a friend of Debussy and father of artistic movements of the early 20th century. Then Melinda, will speak (English) about Erik Satie’s music. The second part, Melinda will perform his known and lesser-known works accompanied by Pascale Richards’ reading.

  • Hot and cold snacks and some drinks will be served after the concert.
  • Suggested Donation $15.00. The funds raised will be used for scholarships and grants.
  • This event is open to all. Come with your family and friends and let them discover the Alliance Française.

Candlemas and crêpes tasting

Saturday, February 1 – 3pm Epiphany and galettes tasting

PATISSERIE BECHLER, 1225 Forest Avenue, Pacific Grove

This year, Chef Gerard Bechler that will flip crêpes for us. Each guest will receive 2 large crêpes with a glass of “sparkling cider” for $6.75. It’s up to each individual to pay at the counter.

Epiphany and cake tasting

Sunday, January 5 at 2pm

Hosted by Madame Geoffrey de Sibert.

The French Alliance offer traditional cakes and champagne. In order to have enough refreshments, it is important to RSVP before January 2.

This event is open to all. Come with your family and friends and let them discover the Alliance Française. The house will be marked with balloons. Please consider parking along the lane on the right. There will be several parking places at the top left, in the court, for people with walking difficulties. Free for members, $5.00 for non-members.
