Baroque Music Concert

to benefit the scholarship fund

Sunday, April 27, 4:30 p.m.

Katie Clare Mazzeo (harpsichord) and Penny Hanna (viola da gamba)

Our member Katie Clare Mazzeo generously opens her beautiful house and offers a concert to allow our Alliance to raise funds for scholarships.

The program includes composers from the court of Versailles and beyond: Boismortier, Marin Marais, François Couperin, Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, Louis de Caix of Hervelois and a sing-a-long for the spectators!

Katie Clare Mazzeo began her career as a pianist but fell in love with the harpsichord and since it enjoys and performs harpsichord music of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Penny Hanna began her career as a bassist and discovered the viola da gamba later. She also sings and plays the pipe in various styles of popular music. She is an enthusiastic aficionado of 14th century music.

Refreshments and snacks will be served after the concert.

Suggested Donation $15.00.
