Fête de la Musique 2017

Sunday, June 25, 2017 – The AF will again hold a Fête de la Musique event this year! Started in France 41 years ago, the Fête de la Musique is now celebrated around the world on the first day of summer. On this day, everyone is free to express his musical talent and skills in all its forms, solo or in groups, in public or private. Any kind of music is allowed.

To celebrate the Fête de la Musique, the AF invites you to bring your SCORES, INSTRUMENTS, VOICE, OR SIMPLY YOUR EARS, to share. We will play and listen to classical music, French folk songs, and more!

Given the normal effect of music, friendship, and the prospect of a libation, it would not be surprising to see some dancing going on. After the singing, playing and dancing, there will be drinks and snacks to share brought by people attending.

The AF thanks Dr. Issvoran profusely for offering his home for this event.

Don Fischer, one of our dedicated directors, is organizing the event. Please let him know if you wish to participate or help in setting it up (see the June bulletin for his contact information).

Please mark this event on your calendars and join us for a wonderful introduction to summer!
