Présentation: Le Sirop d’Érable du Québec

On Sunday, 29 March, Ms. Chantal Therrien, an expert in the making of maple syrup, will offer a presentation about the subject at 2:00 PM, C. Viollaz’s Offices, 704 Broadway, Suite C, Broadway Street, Seaside, CA. Ms. Therrien, from la Beauce, Quebec, grew up on a dairy and maple farm. When she was 17, she left the farm to study Modern Dance, finishing her degree in Theater at the University of Quebec, Montreal. Then, she completed specialized courses in yoga, acro yoga, and Circus Arts. Today, she shares her talents through teaching and performances. Below, a synopsis of the presentation:

On Sunday, 15 March, Melinda Armstead and two other performers—Katherine Edison, soprano and Bob Armstead, bass-baritone, will offer a concert at 2:00 PM in Melinda’s home. Please call to make reservations—831-626-1410. The entry fee is $10 for AF members; $15 for guests.

…et Dégustation de Crêpes

  • Sunday, February 8th at 2pm

This year, we will prepare our own crepes. Some volunteers will make crepes in advance, and we will also have the chance to make some at the party. If there is a certain, favorite ingredient you like for filling crepes, please bring it to share (jam, lemon curd, Grand Marnier, figs, bacon, cheese, etc…..).

In addition to crepes, we will offer traditional cider from Normandie, plus a small selection of non- alcoholic beverages.

This event is free for members (those who have paid their dues for 2015). For guests and unpaid members, we ask an entry fee of $5.00 to defray expenses.
